End of week

Today we made some last minute adjustments to the robot and took our official test to put the tetrahedron on the pipe. We passed with 28 seconds left for our test and now when we get back after spring break we have to start programming the robot to move on its own.

Fresh Beginnings- New Week

So, the claw is all together now, the code is even on the remote, we just have to figure out how to fully control it. Jake is basically done with SolidWorks, so it's coming along nicely. But it's honestly really hot in here like its crazy humid and hot. Kinda making it hard to work, but we'll push through. I know this week will be a little hard with all the missing days and everything, with spring break next week, but whatever, we'll do our thing.

End of the week fun times

We finally gathered all the supplies to create the tetrahedron and finished the arm on top of the robot. Jake also has finished the solid works work and Darien is perfecting the coding so the robot can be controlled easily with the controller.

Yallready know its Monday Funday

Today were are going to try and finally finish building our Robot arm. Me, Jeremy, Darien and Malik are working our best to finish the arm. Jake has made a lot of progress on the solid works design and should be done by the end of the week if everything goes according to plan.

End of the Week

This week was a short one, with a early release Thursday, and no school Friday. However, i happened to make a lot of progress regarding SolidWorks. Also nick has got the straws to make our tetrahedron, and Jeremy, Malik and Darien work on the arm for our robot.

Monday funday

Since we made it around the chairs on Thursday, we have started to build the arm for our Robot. Since we already doing the square-bot robot we are just going to make a simple arm that can be used to pick up the straws and put them on the pipes. Jake is still working on putting the robot together in solid works. We hope to have most of the arm built by the end of the quarter on Thursday.

SUCCESS

our robot made it around the chairs!!! Darien is very happy, however there is no time to celebrate. Now we must move on to the next challenge, lifting the tetrahedron off the rack. First we must decide how we are going to do that. Also we have to go to a fast food restaurant to get straws to build one. The solid works is coming along nicely on my end.

new week same problems

Darien and I are the only ones here today so it was a slow day work wise. I continued on the SolidWorks, while Darien continues to troubleshoot our coding problems. Darien believes he is close to a break through. Hopefully by the end of the week are robot can go around the chairs with ease.

End of the Week

Our week was an interesting one. We have made progress in getting the robot to go around the chairs. I feel we will havwe this done by the end of today or Monday. Since Darien has been tasked with this, I have spent last few days download parts for the robot in SolidWorks and began assembling. However, I feel we ,ay be falling behind slightly, as one of the groups has already moved on to the next stage.

This gosh darned Robot - Weekly Goal

Coding this thing has proved to be harder than we thought. I thought it would be a situation where i write the code and put it on the flash drive, but there's a whole process, and the robot just runs the code randomly and starts moving on its own, so it's hard to predict what's going to happen. Either way we're still trudging on.

End of Week

We found motors that work, now we Darien is on trying to get the code up and running. However, we are running into some troubles the computer doesn't always register that the brain is plugged into it. So right now we are figuring out what computer will work. Right now the robot just spins in circles.

Weekly Goal

Our goal or the week is to try out the motors, figuring out how they work and what to do with them. Also i was thinking of starting the SolidWorks for our robot. Even if we add to the robot having the chassis would be helpful later on for the project.

Makin' Progress- End of Week

So, the chassis is pretty much done. Building the thing has proven to be quite the endeavor, with each member of the group being responsible for another part of the process. The easiest part is probably just getting the parts, and there's an abundance of them , so we never have to struggle with the other team. It's still a fairly enjoyable process, and hopefully we can get our robot up and running soon.

Assembly time

Today our whole team is here and we finally started to assemble our robot. We are going to making the square-bot robot so it shouldn't be too difficult. first things we first we need to gather all equipment such as screws, gears, wheels and many other parts. Hopefully we get a good base started today.

Time to Build- End of Week

So we completed our initial goal of disassembling the robot(yay) so we're on to the new task of building, It's fairly easy, as all we're doing is following instructions, but we've only just begun so it's probably going to get more difficult as we go along. There's 2/5ths of our team missing today, but we'll make due. It's been a pretty productive week actually.

Robot Time - Our Weekly Goal

Today, the team continued to work on disassembling the robot, piece by piece. So far we're having little to no difficulty with the task, with many of our team members preferring it to virtual worlds. Nick says he likes the "hands on" parts of this class best, while Jeremy wants more tools, but he's managing pretty well. Hopefully this week we'll make some serious progress on the robot, or finish disassembling it altogether.

End of the Week

We have accomplished our goal this week! We have got 30+ badges between our group members, Darien himself got 20 badges. Now we are ready to move onto the next phase of the robot building process.

Our Weekly Goal

Mr.Martin has spared us. Instead of everyone having to get 30 badges, now the group collectively has to get 30 badges. So in our group each person is trying a different challenge. Right now we have about 32 badges between the five of us. That's pretty low but everyone has been missing days, so everyone is at different stages of learning the program.

End of the Week

We have mixed results with Virtual Worlds this week. With different group members out each day, we are each at different levels of understanding. Darien said he had earned 4 badges but cant find them so he is working on that. Nick, Malik, and I are still learning he ropes relying on Darien for assistance when we hit a wall.

More Virtual Worlds

With Mr.Martin still out we are to continue on with Virtual Worlds. Our goal for the week is to get everyone a badge in at least on challenge. Also we have a new member to our Clan, Malik, who is joining us due to lack of members in his group.

Virtual World

We had taken a break from our group presentations to try our best at virtual worlds, Darien our lead coder is pictured getting it set up to try and give us some of his coding powers. Darien already has 4 badges himself.
